Assessment
This is the first step in the training process. The assessment helps us see how energetic wave patterns(Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Theta waves) are laid out in your brain. Each brain is like a fingerprint unique to you as an individual. Using non-invasive sensors, your trainer will collect data from seven different areas (lobes) on your scalp while your brain is at rest and on task. That data is processed together with objective(Goals) and Subjective(life experience) surveys to generate exercises that we will use to help you train your brain.
Pre-Session Discussion
After your assessment you will be asked to complete paperwork. If you havent already done so, please make your payment arrangements with your trainer. The trainer will look over the information gathered from your assessment, then discuss the results of your assessment, your goals, and your training plan with you.
Sessions
Each session consists of 5 - 7 exercises that are designed to help optimize your brain. The trainer will place sensors at various points on your head. During each exercise you will be listening to your own brain waves set to musical notes, as well as other sounds meant to encourage the brain towards a more balanced state. You will also be using various guided imagery, visualization and meditation techniques to aid you in consciously creating the changes you would like to achieve.
Mind Body Harmonics schedules individuals for 1 or 2 week intensives. The intensive includes brain training two times daily including one brain assessment to begin the intensive. Typically clients sign on for 1 assessment and 15 sessions, all accomplished within a 5 to 10 day period.
Intensives have proven to be one of the best methods to train the brain. For the first few sessions, a brain wave optimization session will allow newly created pathways to dominate for a period of time 24 to 48 hours and then the older more established pattern sometimes return. However, in an intensive, the old pattern does not have an opportunity to regain a dominance and therefore the newly created pattern has an opportunity to extend itself more fully and more quickly than in a training based on a once a week effort.
If you have questions throughout the process please feel free to ask your trainer. They will be able to answer your questions or direct them to the appropriate person.
Things to Tell Your Trainer
Are you on any types of beta blockers (heart medication)? If so, it isnt advised that you undergo an assessment or training sessions at this time. If you choose to have sessions anyway, please inform your trainer what medication you are using.
How is your hearing? You will be asked some questions as a part of the assessment process and will also be using headphones during your training sessions. Please tell your trainer if you have hearing impairment.
Have you had lasik surgery? If so, please tell your trainer.
Are you sensitive to cool interior temperatures? If so, we recommend you bring a sweater as it is important that you are comfortable while in your session. We also have blankets available for you to use.
*Ladies: Please inform your trainer if you are in the active phase of your menstrual cycle, as this information is helpful knowledge during your assessment and sessions. We will be able to include protocols that will help you improve the way you feel during this time.
Avoid DRUGS and ALCOHOL during your sessions and after!
(This is heavily stressed because Alcohol and Drugs are toxins which negate the positive changes you achieve during your sessions.)
Avoid fast food; Instead, eat healthy foods consisting of lots of fruits and vegetables
Increase your intake of protein rich foods
Drink lots of water
Include Omega 3 and 6 supplements, as well as a high quality multivitamin in your diet

Include an exercise regimen to complement your sessions. Your Brain will respond quicker when your body is able to improve its cardiovascular function.
Get adequate sleep
Avoid environments and stimulus which trigger you in negative ways e.g. Bars, Clubs, Casinos, Violent movies/video games e.t.c.
Indulge in positive self development tools e.g. positive and empowering - holistic books, t.v. shows, movies, magazines, games e.t.c.
Address negative thinking (focus on positive thoughts)
Avoid negative people - If these kind of people are unavoidable (like family or significant others), suggest they support you by doing sessions as well. This will help you greatly with your progress
Surround yourself with people/pets who love you and care about you
Practice the Guided imagery, visualization and meditation techniques we give you on a daily basis!
Regarding Medications and Supplements
We are not medical doctors and do not recommend you stop your medication or nutritional supplements while training. However, if you are taking nutritional supplements of your own volition, we ask that you please stop taking the following supplements 1-2 days before you begin brain state conditioning:
